“Marxism in Christian clothing” – no, that’s not Glenn Beck, it’s the phrase used by Rick Warren back in 2008. Unless you’ve read his books (Purpose Driven Life) or attend his Saddleback Church, you’re most likely to remember him as the man who hosted the Obama vs McCain face to face discussion.
He goes on to point out that it is the mainstream Protestant denominations which embraced Social Justice and have died as a result – there are “more Muslims in America now than Episcopalians”
