Events continue consistent with my theory on how the RNC will dump Trump while looking innocent.
The ACLU of Ohio filed a challenge against the City of Clevland’s rules about “free speech” on behalf of three groups.
On Tuesday, a Federal judge Appointed by Bill Clinton ruled that the RNC has no standing to fight the lawsuit, only the City Fathers of Cleveland.

Yesterday, the judge ruled the City of Cleveland’s restrictions are “unconstitutional” as they were overly broad, and issued an injunction and sent the ACLU and City to mediation without the RNC at the table.

As I pointed out a couple months ago, the 2012 rules that govern the 2016 convention have an escape clause:
37(e)
(e) If the Republican National Committee determines that the national convention cannot convene or is unable to conduct its business either within the convention site or within the convention city, then and only then, the roll call for nomination for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States shall be allowed to be conducted according to procedures authorized by the Republican National Committee.
The language is a bit ambiguous, which is why lawyers make big money. It might leave the door open for still holding the Convention in Cleveland, just not Downtown. The international exhibition center out by the airport would have been a better choice all along.
It is a much easier venue to control – it is inside the perimeter of the airport. The protestors can march up and down the street in front all they want. Most of the hotels in Cleveland are near the airport. The RTA subway runs right to the airport, so the ghetto rats have easy access. Trump can fly in and fly out without ever leaving a secure perimeter. Being on airport property undoubtedly creates lots of additional Federal jurisdiction over security. There is nothing on their event calendar. It’s way too late to create a credible TV studio, but at least all the delegates can gather safely. It’s just a matter of sending the buses on a different route.
But the goal may just to be to cancel the Convention, invoke Rule 37(e) and the 150 members of the RNC meet in a secret venue and nominate Paul Ryan. It’s very clear he is the #nevertrump establishment candidate.
There has already been $57 million spent on the “Q” and the surrounding concerns. No cancellation in sight at this point. Any shenanigans will be met with some pretty rough actions by non-elites and, if that is the case, I would ship the rioters back to Detroit as they will get injured.
ACLU and Cleveland have reached a deal

Details will be released Monday. One of the parties the ACLU is representing is Citizens for Trump, allegedly a pro-Trump group
Roger Stone, Trump advisor, talked about this at length on Alex Jones’s show on Friday. The Trump people were firmly supporting the ACLU. The city was blocking a pro-trump group from having a gathering.
