Bustos Media (Website) is a Radio and TV broadcaster that targets Spanish speaking audiences. They own and operate about 27 radio stations, all located in the Western United States. In addition, they syndicate 3 Spanish Language formats – La Ke Quena, La Gran D, and Magia Bustos Media is headquartered in Sacramento, California. They also have started to operate 3 TV stations for Azteca, a TV network from Mexico.
In 2010, the lenders took control of the company – the company was renamed Adelante Media. Four stations personally owned by the Bustos family were spun off seperately.
Bustos Media was founded in 2003 by Amador Busto and his brother John. Amador Busto and John are the sons of a Mexican Immigrant who worked as a farm laborer and a janitor for a California school system. Amador went to Berkeley and got his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Ethnic studies, and a Master’s degree in School Administration. John went to USF and majored in Finance and got an MBA from UCLA.
Prior to founding Bustos, Amador and his brother John had run Z-Spanish Radio Network, which owned 33 radio stations and 10,000 billboards in Los Angeles and New York – they sold the company to Entravision in 2000 for $462 million, including assuming $110 million in debt.

Bustos Media owns KDDS, which is licensed to Elma, Washington, which is located way on the fringes of the Seattle Market. They own KLPM-AM and KLGG-AM in the Portland Oregon area.
