| Hartman is the only talk show host that actually brings the legitimate advocates of opposing views into his show. He does so as part of his show formula, not by exception. And, equally importantly, he debates those guests vigorously and with the level of civility and respect that I would hope the rest of the political commentators could muster. Hartman is able to bore deeply into most of the issues of our day that I care about, with experience, knowledge, and factual references that can be independently checked. If a wider audience could here him, the country would be better off, no matter each listeners political, economic or religeous orientation. | ||||||

| Tom Hartmann is the best! He is smart and informative and gives a true progessive view point with the facts to back it up. He is civil and courteous to his callers and guests but gets his liberal point across in a very educated way. Love the show. I've tried to listen to other progressive shows; in fact I enjoy Ed Shultz. But, you can't beat Tom. He is so smart and knows so much about his topics that it is like being at college in a course you love to attend. I have learned so much history. I and my daughter have read books I would never have read thanks to Tom's commentary. Tom's callers are intelligent too. Callers to other shows are usually emoting rather than discussing facts and they sound like average Joe's who just want to complain about everything. Tom's callers are so smart and have something to add to the conversation. I am impressed by the folks who call him and I have a doctorate degree! | ||||||

| Thom Hartmann is one of the few talk show hosts who expresses ideas and thoughts that I can fully embrace. Although there are times when I do not agree with him, I respect the critical thinking that he presents as a basis for his views. He also takes on people with opposite views and mostly does a good job of allowing them to express their views before he explains why he disagrees. | ||||||

| This is the most intelligent progressive radio there is, the only one close is Rachel Maddows.. I have zero tolerance for idiots or ideology right or left. I have great respect for people who can intellectually defend their beliefs and do it without name calling (I don't mind name calling, but not when it is your tool to win arguments).. I would defy just about anyone to out debate this man.. | ||||||

| I listen to several Progressive shows and this is the most thought provoking and empowering radio. Hartmann's respect for people of opposing views is beyond my capacity and he shows listeners how to debate and carry a conversation on with conservatives and moderates. I do not always agree with his take but on the few times I disagree, he has challenged the way I think about a topic. I admire this man immensely and think he is a founding father of this country for the 21st century. | ||||||

| Thom seems to analyse some calls so quickly that he cuts off the caller to make his response. The other situations where this happens, is when the caller sounds like s/he is planning to go on and on, or where they're no sense, or not getting to the point. Usually, when he does it, it needs to happen, on order to maintain the tone and pace of the show. | ||||||

| I have been looking for a lib who can counter O'reilly and Savage etc. Thom seems to be well informed and as a result helps me draw my own conclusions. A much better balanced show than Stephanie Miller or Randy Rhodes who are just plain awful. | ||||||

| I challenge you to find a talk show host that is better educated and more informed on the main topics of the day than Thom Hartmann. He is amazingly thorough in his knowledge demanding the same of his show guests otherwise he just proves that their ideas are contrary to the best interests of the bottom 98% of Americans who are currently being dis-served by those political servants who should be doing things for their good. I challenge you to listen to 2 weeks and then find another talk show host who is more in touch with current events and the history of America. | ||||||

| I like what Thom has to say. He's honest and isn't afraid to say he's wrong if proven to be. He's a man of the people who should run for office. | ||||||

| Thom Hartmann is probably the best researched and most knowledgeable personality on the air today. He has a very good grasp of the issues, but he can be a little too high-brow at times, and I think that might drive some listeners away. He also needs to show a bit more passion for the issues, imo. Overall, this is a good progressive program. | ||||||

| He is brilliant and I learn so much. He is well educated about almost any topic. His recall seems encyclopedic. However, he should quote his sources clearly so that we can read more about the topic that he is discussing. He is polite and respectful but he doesn't give in if he feels that he is correct. I listen to the whole show whenever I can. My only criticism is that the commercial breaks are too long and repetitive. | ||||||

| He's extremely knowledgeable about a wide variety of subjects. He's willing to have an honest and thoughtful debate with just about anybody - including advocates of views that he vehemently opposes. My favorite show of the week is always on Fridays, when he brings in guest Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont for the "Brunch with Bernie" segment. | ||||||

| First, the sound of his voice is annoying. The way issues are presented are with a whinning attitude and not presented thoroughly. He makes "fun" of the "true" americans in a way that makes me very distrustful of whatever information he is attempting to present. Thank you, but no thank you, Tom. | ||||||

| I always hear useful information and thoughtful dialogue when I tune in. I typically end up following up with topics by looking up further info or buying a book when the author is interviewed. Thom clearly expresses his own views but also lets other's express theirs. I like Thom Hartmann so much because I want to hear these issues discussed in a civilized manner. I feel bombastic hosts let their own opinions override thoughtful consideration of topics. Thom is obviously well prepared and takes the time to know what he is talking about. | ||||||
