| Dave has his stuff together having learned by experience. He helps millions to become debt free using a proven method that reall works, as I know first hand. He helps real people with real money problems on the show so we all can learn from and be encouraged by their stories. | Dave make total sense in the financial area. Too many people take things for granted and never understood that maybe they should plan. Listening to the callers makes me feel better because of the situation I have been in financially and that if his teaching of financial wisdom are followed things will get better. His callers whom have followed, as well as I, have had their eyes opened to advice one should have had been given years ago, but were never taught either at home or on school. Kudos to Dave | ||||||

| On rare occassions he gives advice when it is obvious that he is not well enough informed. I have been amazed a couple times at the information/suggestion he has given and it was apparent that he did not know what he was talking about. It is okay to say, "I don't know or I am not sure." Other than that, I really like to listen to him. | ||||||

| I don't have a lot of debt nor do I make a lot of money. By listening to Dave's show I am learning to pay off what little debt I have and how to make the most of the money I make. Some day when I am ready to retire I wont have to depend on what the goverment might pay me I can remain independent till the good Lord see's fit to take me. Thank's Dave. | ||||||

| Some people want to believe that credit cards are a requirement for living "the American Dream", but Dave shows you a different way. Don't listen to this if you want to find a gimmick way to get out of debt and improve your credit rating. Patience is a virtue, get rich quick is a gimmick. | ||||||

| Dave Ramsey concentrates on teaching people how to succeed by personal responisblity - in some ways it is the ultimate conservative talk show, even though politics is a minimum (it is there). Conservatism is all about self reliance, and Dave teaches it to everyone and genuinely wants everyone to succeed (except the Credit Collectors - they ar scum).... | ||||||

| As a new listener that was fortunately able to attend a recent seminar I am EXCITED and feel HOPE for my financial future for the first time in a long time. He offers guidance ,if you don't want it you don't have to listen but I gain a positive experience each time I listen to him. No one is at his shows pushing his products...I like the man and his manner. | ||||||

| Dave has simple solutions to financial problems; spend less, pay off debt, and save more...but everbody knows that, right? That is until they try it. My family has implemented his solutions and I have found it very liberating to be rid of old debt that has been hanging around. Not to mention there are no more arguments about who is spending money and where it is going because now we have accounted for every dollar. I wish I had heard this guy 10 years ago. Oh well, I will pay my "Stupid Tax" and be wiser in the future. | ||||||

| Dave really cares about people a promoting FREEDOM from the bondage of Debt. When I first started listening I felt offended by how confrontational he was. Now I realize it takes confronting the problem, ME, that caused the debt. No entitlement here. He is quite adamant about personal responsibility and he teaches sound principles. | ||||||

| I'm not a church goer, but DR's references to church, Christianity and the Bible and judicious and not heavy handed. I once heard a Bhuddist caller (she said she was) talk about how she didn't share religious beliefs with her partner -- he was very respectful and did not even suggest a criticism of her views. He gave good, useful advice. He's consistent in his advice (debts other than student & home are never acceptable) but he doesn't berate people for their mistakes. His callers and subject matter sometimes get redundant as the advice becomes predictable. Nonetheless, after six months of listening near every day, I still tune in Dave. | ||||||

As someone who has gone through Dave's Financial Peace University with my wife and a handful of friends, I take personal offense to the idea that he duped or tricked us into buying any of his materials as this website's ignorant description implies. | Show is about personal financial advice. - Topics - Topics are in all aspects about personal finance: Death, taxes, inheritance, debt, credit problems, income problems, and just about everything in between. Host does not ramble on about what he did last night or some new car he just bought. The show is about the callers and he is always taking callers. - Show Prep - really should be a N/A. Rating anything under a 10 for something that is N/A is not justified. - Entertainment value - Keeps me glued to my seat. Subject matter is very important and very, very educational and also uses humor to lighten up bad situations as appropriate. - Callers - Excellent selection of callers give real world cases that illustrate what to do or what not to do. - Knowledge - The host is an expert in the area of personal finance, which is what this show is about. - Overall - Should be a 60/60 = 10.0. | ||||||

| I agree with another reviewing who said that the description of (Dave Ramsey will teach you how to become debt free - all you need to do is go to the web site and buy his courses and computer software) borders on the absurd. It's like saying Rush will tell you about being a political conservative, all you have to do is go to his website and buy his books. It makes no sense. Dave Ramsey has given me and my family hope because we needed someone like him to motivate us to become debt free. One shouldn't need motivation for that but like most Americans we needed the kick in the butt. He has a way of motivating that no one else seems to and yes he does it all for free on his radio show. Nothing to buy unless you want to read in one sitting what he says on the radio over and over again for free. Thanks Dave! | ||||||

| The mischaracterization of Dave's approach in the show description (Dave Ramsey will teach you how to become debt free - all you need to do is go to the web site and buy his courses and computer software) borders on absurd. He gives away his materials more often than he pushes them, and tells all of his "secrets" on-air. He wants to help people get out of debt, whatever it takes. His common refrain that "personal finance is 80% behavior, only 20% head knowledge" hardly fits with someone trying to constantly push their products. Try listening to the show (particularly on Fridays) and hear the hope and joy he brings to people's life before you unfairly characterize his show. Again from Dave, "When I helped 10 people get out of debt and made $1 each, no one minded. When I helped 10 million people get out of debt and made $1 each, suddenly it became an issue" Does he tend to be a 1-trick pony (personal finance and getting out of debt)? Yep. Is he really good at it and cares about the people he's helping? Absolutely. | ||||||

| I know I gave a glaring review, but this show is great! This is one of my favorite shows that practically teaches you how to make millions so that you can give it all away!! Wonderful Show & even better financial system: Financial Peace University or Total Money Makeover! He also has great values & respects all of his callers! | Ramsey advocates a single approach to finances and fails to understand the value debt and credit can play in a person's financial profile when used properly. Cuttins up all your credit cards is a quick way to find yourself unable to qualify for a home mortgage down the road. Then again, Ramsey would probably advocate just living in a tent because then you won't be in debt. | ||||||
