| Dr Dean's show is outstanding. It is even handed and educational. Not a political show, just medical, but has topics that should interest everyone. He is very considerate of his callers, and is not patronizing in the least. | ||||||

| Dr. Edell argues that he believes advocating a woman's Right to Choose should not be equated with advocating Abortion. I think the good Doctor should reconsider this opinion, and to support my argument I suggest substituting "Slavery" for abortion as the issue in question. Supporting the right to own slaves, which was the case less than 150 years ago, equals supporting slavery. Owning a slave is inextricably linked with the institution of SLAVERY. Similarly supporting a womans' right to have an abortion is inextricably linked with supporting abortion; the two concepts CANNOT be dissassociated except through perversely convoluted logic. If it is absolutely wrong to deprive an individual of his right to choose how to live and who to work for; how much more wrong is it to deprive an individual of the right to life in the first place? | ||||||

| I LISTEN TO DR. DEAN AND APPRECIAT HIS MEDICAL POINTS OF VIEW BUT HE SAID HE BELIEVES IN MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING THAT IS TOO MUCH ITS A MYTH IVE BEEN STUDYING EARTHS CLIMATE FOR 32 YEARS RECENTLY 30,000 SCIENTIST MET AT THE PRESS CLUB IN WASHINGTON TO STATE THAT CLIMATE CHANGE IS MOTHING MORE THAN A MONEY MAKING SCAM CO2 LEVELS HAVEBEEN 20 TIMES HIGHER AS RECENTLY AS 25 HUNDRED YEARS AGO THIS DR SEEMS TO BE QUITE KNOWING IN THE MEDICAL FIELD BUT UNTILL HE LOOKS AT THE OTHER SIDE AND THERE IS ANOTHER SIDE HE SHOULD KEEP TO TALKING MEDICAL CARE INSTEAD OF TALKING ON A SUBJECT HE KNOWS SO LITTLE ABOUT THE GLOBAL TEMP. | Dr. Dean is great. I have been listening to him for probably 10 years. He relies on research and will not jump on the media bandwagon. I appreciate his views on medical marijuana and vaccines. I have a child with autism and I don't have to feel guilty about vaccinating him. I hope he stays on forever. I am not sure about his bantering with Heather though. At times, it seems a little "too" friendly. I know that there is no personal relationship but it sounds as though the teasing is a little too personal sometimes. | ||||||

| He is such a Democratic - last weekend he said ridulous things to defend ex-governor Spitzer, we laughed throught his entire comments. We cannot listen to his show anymore - it used to give many health issues, but now all he does is rant and rave about political issues. We do not care about his politics- we want to listen about the health topics which are now becoming a small part of his show. | ||||||

| One of the best shows on the radio. I was very disappointed when WLS in Chicago stopped airing his show at 7 AM and put on a real estate show instead. I am so glad to find that I can listen on the internet now. | ||||||

| A very informative show which is not on the air very consistently in our area. Edell is a well prepared host who covers many topics and is one of the very best medical info shows. Explains the complex nuances of medical issues in an understandable format. Spends some time on a political soapbox mocking religious ideas but it's tolerable because the rest of the show is good. | ||||||

| Sorry, but this "Doc" hasn't practiced medicine for 20 years and it shows. Poor prep. Inconsistent, unrealistic and short-sighted view of the roll of research in medicine and the certainty of current medical knowledge and opinions. The "bits" his producer introduces into the show are ridiculous an a source of embarrassment. There's a real need for a great radio Doc on the air; right now there are too few alternatives/options. | ||||||

| This radio show provides listeners with good information about health issues unlike most others. Dr. Edell's knowledge is excellent and ahead of your typical physician. He presents the latest findings from leading medical journals and makes them relevant to most of us. He also teaches his audience how to separate good science from "junk" science as it is related to the medical field. This show should be required listening for all students in high school to improve their understanding of science in practice. | ||||||

| Like many doctors, this "man of science" refuses to conceed that the medical profession does not have all the answers, that medical opinions change over time, and that his "certain knowledge" will certainly be proven wrong in the future. Further, he is obsessed with the issue of circumcision, and is completely emotional on the subject, conveniently ignoring medical facts and consensus on this particular topic. Also, his marginal producer Heather needs to be much more in the background... | ||||||

| Brilliant, stable mind. Avoids inflammatory talk. Supports direct, frank talk about health. Steers listeners away from quackery. Instills a healthy skepticism in his audience. Open-minded, but puts his trust in science and the work of doctors and researchers, rather than those who make claims not supported by facts. I like him. I wish his show played in my local area. I have to find him on the internet. There is no other talk show host that I'm aware of who speaks so openly and honestly about the human condition. I rate him very highly because he does not rely on fear to keep his listeners listening. He uses facts. He debunks myths. He does not talk down to his audience. There are NO other talk show hosts who fit that description to my mind. So, he gets 10's and 9's becuase there is no one else up there on those question. I'm adding to this comnmentary because the website says I might be trying to manipulate the ratings. Honestly, I am not. Heck, this is the first time I've written anything like this. If I were given the choice of one radio talk show to listen to it would be this show. No, I'm not a nut. The show is civil, scientific, full of common sense and talks on a level that does not assume I am an idiot. Where else can you find that on the radio. Yes, NPR. But that's it. So, when I can't get NPR at a particular time of day, I seek out Dr. Dean Edell's show on the internet. | ||||||

| Dr Edell has a peculiar notion that the practice of medicine and medical research should not be subject to limits set by the democratic process and representative government. George Bush is not "above the law", but the AMA is... On the other hand, he is open to alternative approaches to healing. | ||||||
