| I love Dr. Joy and have been a faithful listener since she was first in NY in 1986....she's so smart and a refreshing change of pace from the NON-STOP politcal pontificating the other daytime hosts provide. I listen to her on-line and at her showtime on WOR (which by the way SHOULD be back in the morning!!!) | ||||||

| I live in CT and used to listen every morning from 9-12...just recently they changed programming to hate radio ...Rush etc... i was so upset and called the station 800 WLAD numerous times to complain. Now i look everyday on streaming media and leave Dr Browne on by finding every hour across the country the show is on. I miss Dr Browne so much every morning but don't mind listening to repeats cause there is always something new i can learn...Thank you Dr. Browne - I miss you very much!!! PS i am a female and am very impressed on her take on the male species...its helped me communicate better with my 2 sons and husband!!! | ||||||

| Dr. Joy Brown provides valuable, entertaining and useful insight into problems evolving out of daily life. I would compare her to Judge Judy for her quick, proven, professional way of cutting through the crap and getting to the heart issues. I can do without her movie and play reviews. I tune out during that portion and consider it completely wasted air time. | ||||||

| I heard Dr. Joy for the first time tonight and also for the first time I found a 1360 talk show host that was obviously biased and slanted toward one point of view. She had her mind made up. The talk was on gun control. I had come to like most all the talk show host on 1360 because I felt they were informed about their subject matter and it was obvious they had looked at all sides of a given issue though you knew in no uncertain terms where they stood. Most of these hosts tried to help their listeners and many times those listeners did not like what they heard..., but it was usually what most Americans would say were down home American viewpoints Dr. Joy refused to acknowledge her callers opposition to her firm stand on gun control and was using her position as a soapbox. I pride myself on looking at all sides of an issue and it is interesting that I find very little, (if any), fault with any of your other talk show hosts as most of them talk to the general American heart. Dr. Joy is delusional and very biased on gun control, plain and simple. I watch this issue closely and remain open. That fact remains, it is a fundamental right to bear arms. I can absolutely assure you, you limit guns in the hands of the right people, and only the bad guys will have "and use" guns, period. Perhaps what should be looked at is the penalty for the criminal use of a gun. Use a gun in the commission of a crime, you go to jail for "many, many years" without possibility of parole. (The first time). Dr. Joy is close-minded on this issue and it is disturbing to hear her push hard on her callers voicing solid and valid points that happen to differ with her opinion. It is quite interesting, I almost always agree with your various talk show hosts when various listeners call in. Tonight, although I only heard 4 callers, each of them differed with Dr. Joy on the issue of gun control. That should tell Dr. Joy something... Perhaps she really doesn't understand the reason that the right to bear arms was put into our Founding Father's vision of the things needed for a society to remain free. It wasn't to fend off the "bad guys" and i trust she won't use the "this is a different time" line... We are in danger now more so than any time in history because of viewpoints such as Dr. Joys. Dr. Joy's Rating (2.5). I find it hard to believe a person with so firm an opinion has not honestly done her homework to research openly and honestly "all sides" of an issue, looking the good and bad in each one with an open and perceptive mind. Dr. Joy quoted facts she found to justify her opinion. Any bean counter can do that. One can take numbers and make something look anyway they wish it to look depending on the slant they give those numbers. I honestly expect more from the talk show hosts I listen to. Jim S. | ||||||
