Can't tell lately if he is serious or playing around. He has a playful personality but like Rush says... Some Things need to be left to the Professionals. Hugh seems to be more moderate on many issues lately. One example was that he was the only guest on Sean Hannity's show that believed that Obama's aunt should exempted from Illegal immigration law because she is related to the President of the United States of America and it would be embarrassing for the USA. C'mon, he is an attorney and he should be concerned with the law NOT emotion. He is like the Republicans in Congress that want to walk the middle of the road and not offend anyone. Like the bible says: Be Hot or Cold, lukewarm(moderate)will be spewed out. This is not what Conservatives want to here. He is going the way of Bill O'Reilly...Down in ratings! He just doesn't get it. Liberals hate him and won't listen to him yet he is offending Conservatives with his moderate views. Soon, no one will listen to him and he will have to get back to practicing law FULL TIME. Stopped listening to him and would rather listen to ANY music rather than listening to his drivel. In case you need to know I am a Born Again, Christian Conservative.

Hugh is the best for straight-from -the-well GOP talking points; often describes himself as a "man of the party" not as a principled Conservative. Very much a traditional East Coast Republican.

HH is the greatest! Respectful to guests, handles a variety of points of view well, clear voice for conservative values, does well at mobilizing people. Not afraid to take a stand. Great energy.

Hugh is clearly the most intelligent man on the radio and I always enjoy listening to him, even on the rare occasions that I disagree with him. His knowledge on the topics of discussion, government in general, history, politics, and world events is very impressive. He presents his arguments in intellectually-honest and well-reasoned ways, almost entirely omitting feelings and unsupported opinions. My local station changed the showtimes, so I am regrettably unable to listen most days. Otherwise, I'd be a daily listener.

Hugh is highly educated and experienced. He understands the issues of the day and has guests who may or may not agree with him. He is not afraid to confront them, but lets them have their say even if he disagrees. He expects callers to be able to defend their comments. While most of the talk is of politics, he does include lighter issues at times that are entertaining and a nice change from the heavy concerns of the day. It's always entertaining and usually educational. I highly trust Hugh's take on issues, although I don't always agree with him.

Hugh is working hard to become the case study in why the Fairness Doctrine or Equal Time provision need to be reimposed. He has given up all pretense of neutrality in the 2008 campaign, and plays several minutes each hour of Mitt Romney campaign ads - including the tags "Paid for by...". So are these paid ads in the middle of his show, or is he begging for the FEC to rule them to have been "Payment in Kind" ads subject to FEC campaign limits? The only mitigating factor is that Salem Radio's stations are mainly low power suburban stations with minimal audiences. He should take his cue from El Rushbo, who is working hard to stay neutral in the primary race.

He is a RINO who was in favor of amnesty, Arlen Specter, Harriet Miers, Mitt Romney, etc. He is incredibly conceited and arrogant. He dismissives anyone who disagrees with him with bigotted slanders. He has no critical guests and no critical callers. He cuts callers off. He is somewhere between Hillary Clinton and Lincoln Chafee ideologically.

Hewitt is one of the best interviewers I have heard on radio and I listen to a lot of talk shows. He is well prepared. When interviewing an author of a book, he has read the book and obviously does not rely on a set of questions prepared by his producer. He is well educated in law, politics and history. His questions are insightful. Some authors are invited on the show to be challenged, but the questions are respectful and fair. The show also contains a mixture of current affairs--generally political or legal, some pop culture (e.g. movie reviews) and a bit of sports. He also invites politicos, usually of his own party (Republican), and is not shy about confronting them with reasoned arguments when he believes their positions are indefensible.

Hewitt is a superb interviewer. He moves the show along at a brisk pace but treats each subject in depth. The show is truely unique in committing a series of broadcast hours to one author, concept or subject. An excellent example is the series of 8 hours over 8 weeks with Dr. Thomas Barnett on his book the Pentagon's New Map. This was a book that deserved the time and Hugh provided that time. The Hewitt show is smart, well produced and researched.

The best talk show on the air. Hugh Hewitt is a superb interviewer, without equal. When necessary he is a clever interrogator.(He uses his law experience to great advantage).A large range of very interesting guests, and his callers are interesting too. My only negative feelings are: I don't share his enthusiasm for football, and sometimes his frat-boy sense of humour is grating. I cringe every time he refers to 'the fetching Mrs. Hewitt'

Center-right, so not as conservative as I would like. Supported Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court, even after it came out that she was pro-choice. Has the best guests, but not as many liberal guests. Occasionally talks about religion, but does not really understand his Christian theology as it applies to ethical issues. Never admits when he is wrong - not a principled conservative.

Hugh is top quality, compelling programming. Very high calibur, with a reasonable mix of levity. His intelect allows him to be commanding but his humility reminds him to be respectful with his guests. Knows politics and constitutional law inside and out. I believe he can continue his upward direction, as long as he stays away from flashy or trendy methods used by some in the industry. (I want to be sitting in a classroom or watching a debate, not watching a prime-time news magazene, such as 48 Hours.)

Good variety of topics, guest and is not always political. I really enjoy his intellect compared to left wing radio. He presents himself as upbeat compared to the lefts always-bitchy mood. H H goes to reason discussion not kook ideas from either right or left.

Smartest PRACTICAL, GOAL-ORIENTED political talk on the radio. If you want to DEFEAT LIBERAL DEMOCRATS at the ballot box, listen to Hugh. If you just want to hear some dopey clown scream, listen to Michael Savage. If you want funny voices and neato rock music and content fit for middle-schoolers. listen to Glenn Beck. The end.
