| I am a gentle man of discriminating taste. Having listened to this excellent program for most of the last 12 years certainly qualifies me to rate this show as I have. Phil Hendrie plays good cop, bad cop with his uninitiated audience, using his seemingly endless yet well developed cast of characters. Phil has the best delivery of true satirical wit. The very real outrage or sympathy of the unwitting callers towards fictitious characters in a discussion masterminded by Phil himself is the coup de grace. A never ending journey into pure genius. | ||||||

| I can't believe PeoPle are fooled by his lousy imPersonations and "fake" callers. When I first heard the Program I couldn't believe the station would cancel John and Jeff in favor of HIM ! I think it's a waste of the airwaves. I agree with some other comments I've read that the reason he imPersonates a caller is so he can say anything he wants without being held accountable for it. His fall-back excuse will be that it's only comedy. Not funny, I say. | ||||||

| I too like others have mentioned here - was absolutely in LOVE with the comic genius of Phil Hendrie. Today, I can't stand to even hear his muffled, worn out, blown woofer voice. Phil has turned into a horrible liberal progressive who loves Barry Satoroe, aka Obama. Phil is racist and airs a promo locally in my town, where Phil Hendrie states that "whites are completely dumb on race". Phil continued to state in this radio promo that "blacks are completely dumb on race too, but are just a bit better on it than whites". ~ Ah Phil, whatever.... I hate hearing this promo which airs a lot. I find that promo very, very insulting. It's personalities like Phil that I just can't listen to. You can clearly hear them trying so hard to push that liberal progressive LIE. STOPIT Phil!! Get back to what you used to do, which WAS being world famous. Such a loss, what a shame. | ||||||

| Hendrie talks to himself and thinks he is funny. He is far from funny. His idea of a joke is something like pounding a nail through a little kids hand. Ha Ha. Very funny Phil. | ||||||

| Phil Hendrie is unlike anything else on the radio, at his best he is beyond hilarious. He is at his worst when he stops doing his schtick and starts trying to talk about things seriously, or when he has a serious guests on, then he tends to come off pretty weak. It doesn't really work to do the comedy and then try to be serious at the same time. | ||||||

| phil rocks; since his return to the air however I feel his show may be waning in popularity due to how different the content/comedy/issues is/are. He used to have 15-20 online streams, now 2? And one is broadcasting Savage right now... Hate to see him struggle. Would love to hear more since my local station dropped him 3 years ago. Where's more stations? | ||||||

| I was an avid listoner to his real show he used to have. Phil had a very funny and good radio show before. There is and still nothing out there like his old show. This show I can not even stand to listen to it. He is very biased to the left but pretends to be the only truth seaker out there on radio who as he states gives the straight truth and has. His love affair with Obama is something else,do not criticize President Obama because he will come on you and will not give then a chance to even make there point. He just insults and tells them how ignorant and wrong they are. It is painful to listen. He does not understand that any dissagreement with him on political issues is subjective. He dispizes Christians and the whole abortion issue. He went on and on about the abortion doctor that was killed and how that just ruined the repulican party and they will never recover and lumps all christians as crazy's like the guy who killed the doctor. Yet he does not mention the musilum who killed the one military man and wounded the other. Would not then the shooting by the musulim be the death knell for the musulims as well then. Bottom line he is full of it and pretends to be unbiased and how enlightened he is. Very arrogant. I was a paying member of his old radio show for over three years. It is a shame to see his talent wasted like it is now. | ||||||

| Phil adds some "hip" to po-lit-icks! If we can keep Phil's commie tendencies from surfacing too often, he might even help save America. For example, Phil will pile on the last administration, neglecting to mention George was busy with a war, while the Demo(lition)crats were violating constitutional proceedure and obstructing everything domestic. George eventually gave in and made a deal with the Demo(lition)crats: I'll let you spend money if you let me fight a war. I dig Phil's characters! - So I'll put up with his (opportunistic) selective memory. I'll give Phil an Ophra Cheer! "You GO! girl!" Phil's the best. | ||||||

| Phil is God. Listening to Phil allowed me to better relate to dirtbikers I once met in Corona, and Cal-li-fornians in general. Phil allows Mid-west, rust belt dwellers to stay hip...all while being a right wing-ger talking common sense. ...and, I know Bobby Doolie in real life. Phil is therapy. Beat that! | ||||||

| Ok the show is really a fake show because he has the same guy call all the time just impersonating (poorly) different people. It does allow Phil to be appropriately "outraged" at the person that calls, but it is just a fake way to say what he wants to say and then be able to disassociate himself from the racist, sexist, and stupid statements that are made. | ||||||

| I loved the old Phil Hendrie shows with all of the callers arguing with Phils' "guests." His new format just doesn't fly. Did he get sued, or is he under FCC restriction? I just can't believe that he doesn't know that the new format IS NOT working! | ||||||

| This new incarnation for Phil Hendrie is aweful. I've listened to it for a few nights. I find it some of the most tediuous talk radio I've ever heard. It's quite apparent that he has no callers. So, he's doing monologue for hours on end. That's unfortunate, because his inerteraction with callers made his prior show. I can't even begin to empathise with the points of view he takes. I just don't care what Phil says. He doesn't really have much to say about any of his subjects that I even care about. I want to know what Steve Bosell has to say, not Phil. That said, I loved his old show. He's clearly trying to carve out ground for a format that doesn't rely on his Sybil schtick. That's too bad as he hit is stride with all his characters. I really miss Margaret Gray, Vern Dozier, Ted Bell and all the rest. I don't think I'll check back in with Phil for another month. Phil, please change your format. You are so close, yet so far away. You will be lost from radio forever if you don't do something now! | ||||||

| It would be nice to hear a little bit of the past even though it is the 'new' Phil Hendrie Show. Phil's an entertainer and that's all part of entertainment. Maybe just a single flashback a show would help keep old listeners long enough to give the 'new' Phil a chance and also gain the interest of new listeners who would stay around awhile. Phil's brutal honesty is also a value in todays media where everyone seems to be a liar, excuse me, a lawyer. I disagree with Phil on plenty of subjects, but, I admire him for being able to defend those positions with facts, not feelings. While the latter are important, you don't decide the fate of the free world because of how it 'feels'. Phil is a one man Broadway show on radio, as himself or his characters. I wrote him that once. I also sent him cigars, or my wife did, but, his show lightens up a life where I've spent about 10 yrs on my back so I'm a professional listener to all kinds of garbage and this is not garbage. The hard part is in front of Phil, he probably knows it so I won't imitate his typing. Radio is a tough business and he's gotten strange hours to start with but the competition is weak with the sad news that Art is retiring. The daily fill in on Art's show can't stand up to Phil's style, wit, irony, etc. ad nauseum. I just want Herb Sewell to find out a little bit more about himself. | ||||||
