| Mr. Batchelor's show is great, because he interviews the real experts of the day, and the show's pace is fluid and steady: The producer does a great job with the call screening, also. I love listening on summer eve's, alone in the back yard, with a beer, the dog, and a cigar. Bonus!. . . The wife enjoys a couple hours alone with the female TV shows. ONE OF THE BEST FEATURES OF J.B.'s SHOW IS THAT HIS GUESTS ARE RIGHT THERE, ON THE FRONT LINES OF TODAY'S EVENTS, ALL OVER THE WORLD, AND J.B. IS ALWAYS WELL-VERSED AND PREPARED FOR EVERY INTERVIEW THAT HE CONDUCTS. | ||||||

| This is a unique show. No callers, which is a delight for me. His guests are amazingly diverse, and cover a broad range of current events. I especially like the weekend book reviews, and often buy books that are discussed. John, himself, is well versed in the issues discussed by his guests, which makes a give and take that is educational and interesting. | ||||||

| I appreciate the varied topics as well as different guests for similar topics. Usually, talk show hosts tend to rant and repeat themselves talking about the "hot topic" of the day. I especially like his respectful manner in leading the conversations. | ||||||

| John Batchelor's show is at a whole different level than other programs. He intelligently covers global current events, with experts and panels of experts discussing what's happening, often from the location of the topic (i.e. countries overseas, etc.) I always learn from this program. | ||||||

| A great show that started by sheer coincedence on 9/11/01 (Actually it started on Monday 9/10 and was originally a 9-midnight show in NY) Not quite the same since Paul Alexander left, but still this show is WEEKS ahead of the main stream in terms of World Events. Also offers good insite into the workings of Russia, Europe, China, as well as the middle east. | ||||||

| I am so happy to have John back on the air. He is head-and-shoulders the best talk show host on the radio today. His guests are awesome. | I love this show! And I love it because I hear discussion that is without rancor and sarcasmn while providing perspectives not usually available in the standard media outlets. | This is, without a doubt, my favorite 'destination' radio show. I'm crushed that he announced on Monday, as well as on his website, that Friday Sept. 1, 2006 will be his final program on the ABC network. I can't wait to find him on the air again. I'm esp. interested in current events/politics/terrorism - all seen through the eye of someone who understands history very well. ABC is making a BIG mistake by cancelling this show. I look forward to finding out where he will be next. Love, the music too! | ||||||

| There are no stations in the Boston area that discuss the conflicts that are taking place in the other half of the world. Our news is being "sanitized" by the media particularly on television and we are not getting thruthful info. I have difficulty in pulling in your station on my radio, but I cannot go one night without listening to John Batchelor. He inspires "critical thinking" in me. And I must say, what I learn from him, I pass on to my friends and family. I would like to hear John back on WRKO Boston. If I have to, I will buy a CC Crane radio so that I can listen to New York stations!!! | ||||||

| Is exceptionally well informed about politics, international issues (especially in the Middle East), and science (particularly space). Covers stories often not covered elsewhere, and in a deep not found anywhere. Often puts things in interesting historical perspective. However, his guests always share his opinion, providing little honest debate. His infrequent callers seem heavily screened. That said, I never miss the show, usually recording it and listening the next day. | ||||||

| John has "gone off the deep end" on immigration, global warming, alternate fuels technology and his odd desire to see Tom Delay go to prison. He has switched from being a host to being an overt advocate - something has flipped in the last year as now he obssesses about his Asssyrian / Persian ancestory. Still better than most stuff on the radio, but something odd is going on behind the scenes. | ||||||

| john batchelor's show was formed on 9-11 so that's where the show's core stems from. more like a personal intelligence briefing. no calls, hence no man on the street opinions, talking heads now popping up on other shows were here first. limited topics yet in depth. brought up sars in china before anyone. too bad wrko replaced him with a cooking show. | ||||||
