A tree dies:

from the top down
and there's no one there to hug it...
from the day it sprouts
one leaf at a time
from the bottom up
and a Geithner bailout can't stop that
but never from cancer - why?
from the outside in
all at once
and goes to tree heaven
and becomes part of a new home
in Brooklyn
from the inside out
and everything else on GODS green earth.
When loggers cut it down
but a sequoia lives for thousands of years
