The day of the big event whose name may not be mentioned is here

The Carolina® team that plays a sporting event with a pointy ball are expected to win the once a year contest watched by thousands of Americans around the world. The Rand Corporation reports it is theoretically possible North Korea will detonate a hydrogen bomb on the 50 yard line. Enjoy!

Did anyone else notice the arrogance exhibited by Cam Newton? Talk about Black quarterbacks – hello – there have been Black quarterbacks for over 25 years in the NFL. Can he say Warren Moon? or Steve McNair? Russell Wilson Or RGB? And the icing on the cake – “We didn’t execute well” (blame the team) and then “They didn’t do anything special”. Really? Stopping the #1 rated offense and defense of a team capable of scoring 40 points in the first quarter? The Panthers – whose team was pound-for-pound bigger than Denver and whose team should have won the game 50 to 3? No – “They” didn’t do anything special.

I know nothing about the team. This is probably the first NFL game I watched in 30 years. The flying cameras make me dizzy.

My impression is he was exhausted before the game started, like maybe he was up all night partying. Shots of his face looked like he had no stamina.

Near the end of the game, he fumbled the ball and made a conscious effort to not try to keep the ball. The bookies in Vegas made out well.

I didn’t see it, but I read he stormed out of his post game press conference after a couple minutes,

But overall, this is good news. It makes it less likely that people will want to move here.

I feel confident Rush will talk about the NFL today. They really are about one year away from playing flag football. Maybe the teams will just start using virtual players and fantasy league rules.
