My religious training about Noah was surely from reading cartoon books that “simplified” the meaning of the Bible for young impressionable minds that don’t yet have critical thinking skills. Even as a child, it made no sense other than maybe a story it was a story like Santa Claus or Zeus.<\/p>\n
With the controversy over the Noah movie and its desire to be True to the bible version (rather than the cartoon version), I decided to actually read the relevant text and see what the Bible actually says rather than what people think it says from reading fictional interpretations<\/p>\n

They were the heroes of old, men of renown.<\/p>\n 5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. <\/p>\n 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. <\/p>\n 7 So the Lord said, \u201cI will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created\u2014and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground\u2014for I regret that I have made them.\u201d <\/p>\n 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.<\/p>\n Noah and the Flood<\/p>\n 9 This is the account of Noah and his family.<\/p>\n Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. <\/p>\n 10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth.<\/p>\n 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God\u2019s sight and was full of violence. <\/p>\n 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. <\/p>\n 13 So God said to Noah, \u201cI am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them<\/strong>. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n There are dozens of obvious questions about the story (Was Noah a half Nephilim \/ human hybrid?), but I’m focusing on this issue I can’t get past.
