Out running errands, it seemed like a good time to go to McDonald’s for breakfast for dinner.<\/p>\n
Before I left, I visited the “local homepage” for MyMcDs – and there was the Breakfast all day promotion.<\/p>\n
I knew going that it would be outrageously expensive – the morning value meal prices don’t apply. Also, I knew there was a risk they would not carry some items due to lack of grill space.<\/p>\n
So I lumber in, and sure enough – no mcMuffins on the menu. If I want “eggs”, and I use the term loosely, the only option is a biscuit with a yellow covering of eggs from a bottle, probably cooked hours ago, on a stale biscuit with a precooked patty of some sausage thing that may or may not be pork.<\/p>\n
After confirming that there were no mcMuffins, I thanked the cashier and walked out.<\/p>\n
K&W Cafeteria had what I wanted.<\/p>\n

The video confirmed what I already suspected – and it is not specific to McDonalds. Scrambled eggs are labor intensive and require a little skill. Much simpler to have Cargill (mentioned in the video) turn the eggs into Liquid eggs in the factory, or the even more disgusting Egg Patties. The McMuffins are still cooked in the store, although I would not be shocked if evening McMuffins aren’t – to deal with the lack of grill space<\/p>\n
