Jack is right next door to McDonalds, which serves breakfast all day, as long as a stale biscuit will do.<\/p>\n<p>In the unlikely event you don&#8217;t know, Jack in the Box is a QSR (quick service restaurant) started in California that heavily adopted using a drive through window intercom, long before Dave Thomas popularized the concept at Wendy&#8217;s.  Jack in the Box is for the person who thinks McDonald&#8217;s has higher quality food than really necessary &#8211; but they do serve breakfast 24 hours a day.  &#8220;I&#8217;ll have a double cheeseburger, order of onion rings and a large orange drink!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ash Trying To Order A Double Cheeseburger, Onion Rings, And A Large Orange Drink\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TFHovb-rvEU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Jumbo Breakfast platter met my expectations.  I was given a number and 6 minutes later, my breakfast arrived at the table.  The scrambled eggs were surely the liquid egg type, the hash browns were similar to the McDonald&#8217;s version, the 8 mini pancakes came with vegetable oil &#8220;spread&#8221; and HFCS &#8220;pancake syrup&#8221;.   The sausage struck me as probably turkey sausage &#8211; it doesn&#8217;t say one way or the other.   But for $3.29, you can&#8217;t complain!<\/p>\n<p>The difference was the employees actually seemed happy I was there.  The counter person was attentive, the manager said hello (probably because I&#8217;m not a regular).  Noise of things beeping was minimal, their kitchen area seemed uncramped, and the employees were not being treated like lab mice running through a maze trying not to be shocked for being too slow.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not in a hurry to go back, but it was an interesting experience.
