WFTM-AM is located in Maysville, Kentucky.<\/p>\n

Why I noticed it as unusual is that the station is owned by a tobacco company.<\/p>\n

WFTM stands for “World’s Finest Tobacco Market” and is one of the post WW II AM stations.<\/p>\n

Until recently, they were playing “Oldies”, but as the lovers of oldies music drifted into the ages that advertisers don’t care about them anymore, the station is now playing music from the 60s and 70s. \u00a0 \u00a0The AM station no longer has a web page that I can see, and is running a satellite delivered syndicated music format.<\/p>\n

Maysville sits on the Ohio River on the border between Kentucky and Ohio.<\/p>\n
