{"id":1704,"date":"2011-07-19T20:50:08","date_gmt":"2011-07-20T00:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/streamingradioguide.com\/startingover\/?p=1704"},"modified":"2011-07-19T20:50:08","modified_gmt":"2011-07-20T00:50:08","slug":"the-cyber-war-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/streamingradioguide.com\/startingover\/?p=1704","title":{"rendered":"The Cyber war begins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.us-cert.gov\/cas\/techalerts\/TA11-200A.html\">http:\/\/www.us-cert.gov\/cas\/techalerts\/TA11-200A.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>CERT is the government&#8217;s long standing Cyber Security organization based at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.<\/p>\n<p>This bulletin was just sent out, but doesn&#8217;t really say much specific &#8211; my guess it is in response to the arrest today of 14 members of Anonymous, the group that has some connection to the Wikileaks situation. \u00a0 I&#8217;m thinking they are expecting a major escalation in attacks on the Internet infrastructure as a result.<\/p>\n<p>One of the things I expect to see in the not too distant future is for the government to make it a criminal offense to not use government defined &#8220;Best Practices&#8221; on internet connected servers &#8211; so if you&#8217;re running a web server and it gets hacked and becomes a vector for spreading a trojan or DDOS attack, the web site operator faces criminal charges for negligently endangering national security.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>http:\/\/www.us-cert.gov\/cas\/techalerts\/TA11-200A.html CERT is the government&#8217;s long standing Cyber Security organization based at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
