From the first moments, the “Rebels” have been the ones with the unreasonable position – that Qadaffi must go and that’s non-negotiable. \u00a0 Qadaffi and his son have suggested the idea of a national election to give\u00a0legitimacy\u00a0to the resulting government and aid in\u00a0reconciliation, which will be difficult in the best of cases.<\/p>\n

So now that the US said the Libyan money is the rebels and France has stuffed it into their Swiss bank accounts, they don’t care about that place in the desert any more.<\/p>\n

The “Rebels” \u00a0(or is it the government? – this is so confusing) took heavy casualties today trying to take Brega away from Qadaffi’s forces again.<\/p>\n
