The North Carolina Legislature has a veto proof Republican majority and will next year. Even bills like HB2 had Democratic Party support because the House members are more Conservative than partisan.<\/p>\n

The legislature is in special session in Raleigh pushing through a series of measures to strip the incoming governor of almost all of his executive powers before he takes office.<\/p>\n
