Well, not actually a radio station – Chuck\u00a0controlled a Construction Permit to build a radio station – <\/strong><\/em>WJFA-AM in Florida.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 WJFA-AM would have been a 50 kW station (4kW at night) on 830 kHz.\u00a0\u00a0 To\u00a0get such a strong station, it had to be directional – requiring Harder to build 6 AM towers – a very expensive proposition, especially for a lower frequency that requires taller towers.\u00a0\u00a0 The pattern was pointing to the SouthEast, toward Jacksonville.<\/p>\n

After the FCC gives you the permit, you have 3 years to get it on the air using the configuration you applied for.\u00a0\u00a0 The CP was issued in January 2006 and expired in January 2009.\u00a0\u00a0Harder filed an application to try to transfer the license to his own name, which the FCC rejected.\u00a0\u00a0 When the FCC published the public notice that the permit had expired in December 2009,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Harder appealed – apparently thinking the FCC rejection of his transfer didn’t really mean it was rejected and had expired.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harder didn’t build the station\u00a0– he tried to get an extra 18 months by transferring it to himself as a “small business” owner.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Harder appealed to the FCC on the basis that he is in poor health and can’t borrow the money to build it and he ws only 3 hours late in filing to request to transfer the license after all.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0(He needed to file the transfer in time for the FCC to consider it, not the day it expired)<\/p>\n

The FCC ruled<\/a>\u00a0against Harder (no surprise, since they are controlled by\u00a0the New World Order, blah blah).\u00a0 The FCC will now\u00a0 officially delete WJFA according to the Tom Taylor newsletter.\u00a0\u00a0 The Court of Appeals ruling ending the 18 month extension to build a station gave the FCC the green light to just dump the entire thing and wash their hands of it.<\/p>\n

For those who don’t know, Chuck Harder was the Alex Jones of his time about 20 years ago –\u00a0 he was very close to the H Ross Perot campaign in\u00a01992 and a passionate Clinton\u00a0haiter, despite being a lifelong “Union Democrat”\u00a0 (he hated\u00a0Georgw HW Bush even more).\u00a0\u00a0 He was on a pretty large network of radio station affilaites – mostly small town AM stations that needed free programming and didn’t much care what he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
