So with nothing else to do and the Mayor ordering that I may not leave my house due to the 25 mph gusts…..\u00a0\u00a0I’m thinking…\u00a0now would be a good time to “Transfer” my “stuff” from my XP to the new Windows 7 box.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Perhaps the XP machine would be more stable as the Fedora server.<\/p>\n
Partway through copying the “Shared” stuff, it stopped and demanded that I Enter The User Password for [Computer Name] and [User Name].\u00a0\u00a0 It was very clear that it wanted my Windows User Password on the old machine.\u00a0\u00a0 It wouldn’t accept it.\u00a0 Checked caps lock.\u00a0 Nope.\u00a0\u00a0 Typed it a few more times just for good measure.<\/p>\n
After doing research, I found out the answer turns out to be… when it tries to copy across the “iTunes Library”, it was really prompting me to enter\u00a0my iTunes password – since I’m a weird person who doesn’t use “password” as my password, and every password is different, my iTunes password is not the same as my windows user password and I got “caught”.<\/p>\n
