No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Part of the reason the rebuilding of Iraq too so long and was so expensive was the initial position that anyone who had been employed by Saddam’s government could not work for the new government. It’s pretty hard to run a government when nobody knows where things are or how to run things. Most people will not stand up to a tyrant who controls the military and secret police.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/05/world/africa/05migrants.html?_r=2&pagewanted=1&hpw I’ve posted stories from the earliest days of the civil war how the “Rebels” were working under the assumption that any black skinned African in the country was a “mercenary” working for Qaddafi, with no evidence. Many were killed … Continue reading →

[15

post-2585","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-american-politics
["GET
