Time is reporting that the militias in Misratah don’t quite understand “One Person, One Vote” – and that in a Democracy, even the people who oppose you still get a vote (like the people living in Tripoli).\u00a0\u00a0 I suspect the people in setting up the new Monarchy in Benghazi might object to Misratah getting 70% of the control of the entire country.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Trouble ahead…<\/p>\n
I never quite figured out why Misratah is different from the other cities in Western Libya that did not fight Qaddaffi for long.\u00a0 My guess is because it is on the Coast, the people who live there are Arabs, not Berbers and it’s a tribal issue…<\/p>\n
I find it amusing that American publications translate “Allah Akbar” into “God is Great” – to hide the role that Islam is playing in this “Arab Spring” “Democracy” movement.<\/p>\n
“Democracy”, “Demon”, “demonstrate”….\u00a0 is there a common etymology to those\u00a0 words?<\/p>\n
