The Senate in Paraguay voted 39-4<\/strong> to kick President Lugo out of office after he pushed for land reform and violence erupted between poor peasants and police.<\/p>\n

The Bloomberg \/ Business Week story has this interesting quote.<\/p>\n

“What we\u2019re seeing is increasingly the use of democratic institutions for anti-democratic means,\u201d Christopher Sabatini, senior policy director at the Council of the Americas in New York, said in an interview.<\/span><\/p>\n
