{"id":6372,"date":"2013-01-24T12:53:19","date_gmt":"2013-01-24T17:53:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/streamingradioguide.com\/startingover\/?p=6372"},"modified":"2013-01-24T19:33:01","modified_gmt":"2013-01-25T00:33:01","slug":"heres-yer-ding-dong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/streamingradioguide.com\/startingover\/?p=6372","title":{"rendered":"Here&#8217;s yer ding-dong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you do your own grocery shopping and you didn&#8217;t know it before now, Hostess Brands (formerly known as Interstate Bakeries, Interstate Brands) rented most of the retail space in your local grocery store, squeezing out most local competitors (the same way Frito-Lay takes most of the snack food aisle, charging $7 a pound for potato chips by squeezing out the competition &#8211; their day is coming).<\/p>\n<p>Hostess was the distributor for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Their own snack products (Hohos, Ding-Dongs, Twinkies)<\/li>\n<li>Drake&#8217;s snacks<\/li>\n<li>Dolly Madison<\/li>\n<li>Wonder Bread<\/li>\n<li>Home Pride Bread<\/li>\n<li>Beefsteak Bread<\/li>\n<li>Merita Bread<\/li>\n<li>Nature&#8217;s Pride<\/li>\n<li>Holsum<\/li>\n<li>Butternut<\/li>\n<li>J.J.
