The 5 member board is required to have 2 members that are not of the President&#8217;s party &#8211; Ajit is a Republican.<\/p>\n<p>Ajit plans to lead the charge to figure out why the AM band is fading and see if it can be fixed.<\/p>\n<p>In related news, another AM station in New York City is coming in the market.   Polnet &#8211; a Polish language station in Chicago operates a Spanish religious station on 910 kHz.  It&#8217;s not a WABC, WOR or WCBS &#8211; but who buys it and why will give hints at the future of AM radio.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.radio-locator.com\/cgi-bin\/pat?call=WRKL&#038;service=AM&#038;status=L&#038;hours=D\">Coverage Map<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Down in Houston, the FCC gave approval to sell a do-called &#8220;black radio&#8221; station for a bit over $2 million to a Spanish language religious broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>I wonder if there are any Hindu format stations in the United States.
