Did Joseph Stalin actually say that, or this a quote from the\u00a0right wing\u00a0copy\/paste echosphere?\u00a0 Glenn is usually pretty good about going to original sources.\u00a0\u00a0 When did Stalin say it?\u00a0 To whom?\u00a0 Was it published in any publication close to\u00a0the time Stalin\u00a0said it?<\/p>\n
The wording doesn’t sound like translated Russian.\u00a0\u00a0 Why would Stalin say such a thing and to whom?\u00a0 What would be the purpose of telegraphing such a plan?\u00a0 Keep in mind that the United States\u00a0and Russia were allies during World War 2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stalin died in 1953.\u00a0\u00a0 Why would Stalin want to\u00a0destroy the United States?<\/p>\n
It sounds to me like a\u00a0fabricated quote created by anti-Communist \/ Christian\u00a0activists and attributed to “Joseph Stalin, Communist\u00a0Dictator” – perhaps to scare people to want “In God\u00a0We Trust” added to our money, and certainly to round them up to go to church to be Good Americans.<\/p>\n
If this was an actual quote, surely I can find it on a Socialist or Communist web site, since it is a guiding principle after all.<\/p>\n
