WSNR-AM has a few interesting things about it. One is that when the sun goes down, they increase their power! The station is located in Jersey City, NJ, right across the river from New York.

WSNR used to be the flagship station for Sporting News Radio (SNR) before it vanished overnight, acquired by Yahoo!

The station itself sits on a former landfill site in the Meadowlands (I’m shocked!), and according to the FCC filings the area is being “remediated”, which means all the toxic mess is being dug up and shipped to Alabama (probably). It appears to be some non-English programming (possibly as a lease).

According to Wikipedia, the station is Russian language and catholic at night… (are there any English language stations in Moscow?)

Maybe I could make this a feature – wordpress can set things to publish in the future – I can just queue them up ahead of time 🙂 WSNR-AM has a few interesting things about it.
