When do the actions of a country – under international law, the laws of war, or rational thought – justify another country launching a first strike?<\/p>\n
The President and John Kerry have made it clear they plan to attack the government of Syria – a few cruise missiles has now grown to long range bombers, possibly 1000 cruise missiles and an occupation force to “secure” those WMDs. This puts Syria in the classic cold war “use it or lose it” scenario. Congress is going to apparently vote on attacking Syria this week or next.<\/p>\n
At what point in the time line does our belligerent action justify Russia firing preemptively missiles at our ships, disrupting our communication satellites, knocking out the GPS system? Imploding the international banking system? Blowing up the Alaska pipeline?<\/p>\n
Would President Obama ever surrender to the Russians?<\/p>\n
