New Northwest is very similar to two other firms added today. They are owned by a Private Equity firm in Seattle, and gathered together a portfolio of small town radio stations in the Pacific Northwest.
The Founder was a 30 year veteran of radio. He left in 2002 to form a company that produces comedy shows for radio syndication. Last time he was heard from, he’s running cluster of stations for Saga Communications.
His replacement left the company in April of this year to take 5 of the company’s stations in Billings Montana and set off on his own. The company is now being run by the woman who has served as CFO since 1999.
