Sid Salter joins talk radio

Story here

You’re probably saying “Sid who?” unless you live in Mississippi and get your news from dead trees.  Sid Salter is starting an afternoon talk radio show on the SuperTalk Mississippi network.  SuperTalk is a network of FM stations owned by Telesouth simulcasting mostly programming of regional interest.  Sid Salter is filling the time period where Bill O’Reilly’s radio show was heard, which ends this week.

The point of bringing this up is to consider if the death spiral of the American Newspaper business will lead to an outflow of journalists who seek refuge in talk radio.   At least Mr Salter has some prior experience in radio.
