My personal opinion…Rush never talks about “feelings” (like, for instance, Glenn Beck, who always does), but instead deals in power plays and psychological blocks…not female topics.
Interesting topic I love Rush but I agree with WestenMa that Rush talks about power plays and psychological blocks. He is a cigar smoking, football loving, mans man. He come off on purpose arrogant and all knowing. I think most women bristle at that.
What would be an example of a psychological block? I’m not sure what that means.
The psychological blocks I’m referring to come from Rush himself. Frequently he refers to himself as the “all knowing, all powerful El-Rushbo”…”with knowledge on loan from God…” as well as “known to be right 94% of the time.”
Females, by their very nature, love to “talk things out”…but also are much more cautious about making fools of themselves. What female would want to call into his show with roadblocks like that?
I’m a longtime fan of Rush, but “lovable little fuzz ball” can’t make up for that kind of arrogance.
Why would women react differently to Rush saying he “has talent on loan from God” than men do?
Rush toys with, what he calls, the Fem-a-not-zees. Other women don’t like Rush dissin’ the sistas. – Even if they can’t stand the sistas. Women are like that. Has anyone seen a SPECT scan of a woman’s brain at two different times of the month? (I am not trying to make a joke, here) A woman’s brain thinks lineraly and focused for one SPECT, and all panicky and non-linerally in the other SPECT. In reference to Rush, there is no possible way he can please the women with his humor. What is funny one week, will be detestible the next. I’m not even talking making jokes about the purpose of tatoos on women’s lower backs! (it’s where you’re supposed to set the bean bag ashtray) Women are not going to find some things funny.
Here’s the SPECT website.
There were case studies in there somewhere…showing female changes.

I am not offended by Rush’s references to feminists; they go too far, as do the environmentalists. He is a radio personality after all. As an independant woman I love the information I have gleaned from him and learned to rethink much of what has frustrated me over the years. He may have more women listeners than it seems.
Women just aren’t smart enough to understand Rush… They shouldn’t worry their pretty little heads with mens stuff like politics and their future… Just let us take care of it! They can go back in the kitchen and make me a chicken pot pie!
:-)
You are, apparently, not a regular Rush listener. If you were, you would know that Rush is NOT a sexist.
Joking! Geez… see ” :-) ” I’m a ditto head 24/7 watcher for many years… “and I love his show and I always agree with him and I voted for Bush…”
Coco
Rush plays progressive, math-rock type stuff. Their albums contain music that many women like, but they never play that stuff in concert, where they shine. If they were to pull out songs like “trees” in concert and, (heaven forbid) Neil would pare down his 20 minute masterbatory drum solo, women might dig them a bit more…. oh, wait… We’re talking about a different “Rush”?
Like Rush, Getty Lee is a genuinly good guy.
Both of their last names start with “L”
Coincidence? I DON’T think so.
2112 is the year President O’Bamma’s Stimulation Package will be paid for.
The Females as Property Movement proclaims the vast majority of females are inherently “crazy” or at least certifiable mentally ill to some degree.
Curb your female, please.
Choose your own definition of “curb.”
