KTLK’s Jason Lewis is going to start a syndicated program on Monday, according to Jason and several media reports. Jason Lewis currently does a local show in Minneapolis/St. Paul, but you probably know him from guest hosting for Rush Limbaugh.
Premiere does not currently have a news/talk syndicated program at that time of day. The syndication competition from 6-9 PM Eastern is Michael Savage (Talk Radio Network), and Mark Levin (ABC Radio)
This is a very curious development (if true), as it happened with no advance warning and is not yet listed on the Premiere web site. A substantial number of Michael Savage’s affiliate stations are owned by Clear Channel, who also owns Premiere. If Clear Chanel’s stations switch to Jason Lewis, this is a large issue for Savage. Perhaps Savage finally pushed his bitter personal attacks on Rush and Hannity too far.
KTLK’s web site does show the schedule update for Monday, but not a word about syndication….
*** Update: Premiere officially announces syndication, but no specifics about any stations that will carry the show.
*** Update #2: Jason has an affiliate! KSTE in Sacramento, California. The show is not carried live, though – it’s from 9-11 PM (Pacific). Jason mentioned on the show “the two stations I’m on”, which is about right for now. Next week after O’Reilly is gone, I would expect a few more stations to add his show.
Jason Lewis has a web site with a thread about this:

but it has no specifics. Nothing at all on Premiere’s web site.
