From time to time, I get questions about streaming on cell phones (or the Blackberry). My answers to those questions are generally pretty vague – I choose not to own a cell phone, so I don’t have a platform to test how well (or if all) any of the streams work on a cell phone.
iheartradio is a downloadable app for the iPhone and Blackberry that allows streaming “selected” stations on your phone. Since Clear Channel are the folks behind iheartradio, their streams of course are the bulk of the choices.
If you stream on a cell phone – especially if you have the desire to help with testing or improving the way this directory works using one, please share what you know as a comment on this message. Because of spambots, I was forced to require email registration in order to post a comment. (it’s not the same account as for the directory)
If there is enough interest, I’ll start adding in cell phone specific information to the web site. It’s more a matter of when than if….
Yes I listen to I heart radio on my iphone. I do this mostly when outside puttering around the house, or in the basement or garage. Basically when away from my computer and car radio.
I also use AOL radio
I use them both to listen to political talk radio. I have found that I heart radio works a little bit better than AOL radio.
