Ohhh K. My question is this ! So it takes 3 Chicago police officers and several secruity guards to stand there “several minutes” according to the time on the camera, diverting a lot of traffic around the “crazy woman” ? Ok this is a two part question ! Why didnt they do what they do in the West,? Pick her up, Put her back on the sidewalk out of harm’s way ! and finally what in the hell is a squadrol ?

Only in Chicagoland, Obama’s home mmm MMM MMMM !

The Tribune plaza is kind of the Rockefeller Plaza of Chicago – in fact the building that houses the NBC TV station is designed to look just like the building in New York. It is the focus of that part of Michigan Avenue (the Tribune Tower is across the street on the west side of Michigan Avenue). The logical answer would be the police were afraid of law suit or creating a racial incident. According to the audio, she did appear to be highly agitated, and maybe mentally ill.

I think it would interesting to see if anyone has been “monitoring” WVON and seeing if they are inciting people to violence about this issue. I’m pretty sure from the prior news story the answer is “Yes”.

I don’t know the origin of the “squadrol” question, but I think it means sending a squad car… probably in order to transport her. Chicago has big heavy duty trucks (similar to a UPS truck) that they usually use to transport people.

Michael Scott’s body was found on the bank of the Chicago next to the huge Merchansie Mart. The Mart is a place where clothing and furniture companies have permanent showrooms for selling their goods to retailers. The Mart was owned for 50 years by the Joe Kennedy family

WBEZ carried this report the day his body was found.
