Who will say “Enough already”? – so I’m waiting for my car to be fixed, and I start talking to “Bill” the retired Barber… my guess is he is in his late 70s… “Bill” has had 3 hip replacements, cataracts, heart surgery, and his entire leg opened up to fix an aneurism (he showed me the scar)… and that’s just in the first few minutes of chatting… he knows every hospital and doctor in the area.
So is our goal for this country to turn the entire generation of young people from producing “things” into treating the medical needs and being home health care aides for the old regardless of the cost to the future? There is no easy answer once the inability to pay no longer acts to limit the decision to stop doing more and more expensive procedures that have no long term payback to society… Who will say “No”? (Ezekial Emanual is at least asking the question)
Sorry, I forgot the best part. He’s a regular caller to CSPAN… he got through yesterday talking about health care.
