Layoffs at CBS News on Monday… so the spiral continues…. Time to ask the question again – once the TV networks have given up on news and most newspapers are out of business, where are we going to get our news? Youtube?

The FCC has been making quiet noises about wanting to shut down “over the air” TV, or at least cut way back on the number of stations to free up some of the ~300 Mhz of spectrum currently being poorly utilized by UHF TV – and replacing it with things like more cell phone or wireless broadband spectrum – since a growing % of people get TV from cable, satellite or just watch DVDs… could we see the end of “over the air” network TV in our lifetimes?

my local newspaper, the Sacramento Bee doesn’t give a damn about conservative point of view so i say good riddance…
they had one positive spin propaganda piece after another on illegal aliens so i stopped buying it 5 years ago…”look at this wonderful woman who sells enchiladas and burritos out of her house, blah blah blah” the fact that she doesn’t have a bus. license, doesn’t pay taxes, etc etc is never mentioned and if it was an actual legal citizen, the spin would have been “look at this EVIL businessperson, jeopardizing our health and not paying their fair share, etc etc”
