Bill Handel is ending his weekday syndicated show according to the Orange County Register.
He will continue to do his local show on KFI and the weekend “Handel on the Law” show – but the show never caught traction…. I count 5 affiliates that stream…. good ballpark guestimate is to double that and you’re in the ballpark for what the total probably is….
Only 1 station (WTAR) carried both hours live… the rest carried only one hour or played the show on a delay
It does not surprise me. Handel was a stopgap when KFI lost Dr. Laura. It was only a matter of time. (Why that show was ever syndicated was a mystery to me.)
Interestingly enough, this has a health care angle: Handel’s replacement is going to be Canadian talk show host Bill Carroll, who’s moving to Los Angeles so that his daughter, who has spina bifida, can have better health care.Source: CFRB
