The HotAir blog site is hinting that Stern may become a SCOTUS nominee? Too weird under normal circumstances, but with the present administration I guess anything is possible.
Andy Stern is not a lawyer – his only degree is a BA from Wharton Business school at Penn State. While the Constitution doesn’t require members of the Supreme Court to be lawyers, every single one has been. To do that would probably swing even most Democrats to vote “No”.
I could see him becoming the Health Insurance Czar, or something similar…
I am just as skeptical– even if the Democrats went along with it, even Graham and McCain wouldn’t object to a filibuster over Stern (for one, most unions are opposed to amnesty– though I think the SEIU may be an exception).
I think he’s gettin’ out while the gettin’s good. Basically he’s run the pension fund into the ground. And we all know he wouldn’t be lining his pockets now don’t we?
Probably take awhile to vacate tho ’cause he’s got some serious shredding to do …. gonna need a heavy duty industrial unit.
Maybe 2 ….
