If I was king for a day, I would prohibit corporations from holding an FCC license unless all of the stock is publicly traded, and with proportional voting rights (no 10 votes for each share class A arrangements) – with an exception for closely held corporations where the owner and employees own the stock) – and no indirect corporate ownership where one corporation owns stock in another corporation. Publicly traded corporations are required to disclose who actually owns the stock and file public financial reports – transparency is good. Private equity and non-proportional voting rights are not. Call me old fashioned.

Why would they need to hide ownership in the first place?
