The Revolution has started in Utah – I can’t think of a similar incident. Senator Bennett – an 18 year Senate veteran from Utah who is a Mormon Republican was kicked out by the state party convention. I’m not aware of him being under any cloud of suspicion other than he is an incumbent.

Two unknowns will now face off in a Republican primary. Mr Bennett might try to run as an “independent” as Joe Lieberman did in 2008 when he lost the Democratic Primary to Ned LaMonte.

If there was any doubt of a civil war within the Republican Party, that has been settled. What isn’t clear is who is firing into Fort Sumpter. It might be Ron Paul. It might be George Soros for all I know – don’t underestimate evil.

In any case, “Establishment” Republican John Batchelor will surely have a few things to say. He views the Tea Party and Sarah Palin as the forces that are tearing apart his Republican Party and Destroying it.

It’s probably not too late to reconstitute the Whig party.

Like Rod Serling used to say… “the signpost up ahead, its the Twilight Zone..” That’s where the Republicans are haeded. LBJ used to say that every Senator knew he was smarter and better suited to be president of the country no matter who was warming the seat at the time. Most of the 535 are soooo smart that they haven’t got a clue as to what is going on. They and their uselss staffs; none of them have ‘roughed it’ at the common level and view us with distain. When was the last time one of these – when was the last time then just went business to business – you know – what’s up? hows your floral shop, barber shop doing? I’ll be damned if I spend 800.00 a ticket to have bad food and worse conversation at some supporter’s house. John Erlichman used to try and push staffers out of the White House mess to go eat at the drug store or deli….. it was beneith them then it is now. I know I ramble – but what the hell – who knows where we’ll be in a year? Glenn Beck and Steven Quayle might get one or two things right.
