Football is Here – for those of you who care about testing, we’re on the cusp of college football and NFL training camp season – and baseball of course still drones on until October…. so yet one more reason for weekend news/talk programming to be pushed to the side.

I’ll handle the FSU affiliates :)
Part way through doing the “let’s add in sports”, the NCAA pulled the plug on most of its web site. It used to have links for each school to the schools sports sites, which usually led to a link to whoever was handling the radio network for the teams. I have an entire process that grabs those lists and updates the affiliate list at the push of a button :)
But since most college sports are not streamed for free, it’s there mainly to make it easier to spot why a station is down in a Saturday, rather than for people to find a station that might be streaming a team.
But that does remind me that in the next few weeks, I need to go and “refresh” the lists, of at least the major schools and the NFL teams. They can change a lot from year to year. This is one of those “magic” things that I do with Microsoft Access and Visual Basic, and isn’t done using the web server – so there isn’t really anything to “help” with, other than if you do hear a station streaming and it isn’t a listed affiliate, by choosing it on the Report Sports option, that will add them as an affiliate.
