Allen Hunt adds weekday show… Weekend host Allen Hunt has a new show from 9-Midnight Eastern M-F… but I don’t see a single affiliate on his web site. 9-12 PM is pretty much a wasteland at the moment – Rusty Humphries is about the only significant live show during that time. Choice is good.

Well, there is Curtis Sliwa, too, and Jim Bohannon from 10-1.
9-12, believe it or not, is tough to break into. Between sports preemptions and the use of that time slot for tape delay (e.g. if a station wants to carry both Levin and Savage), it’s not exactly a prime time slot for live programming. I compare it to weekends– sure there’s not much out there in terms of syndication, but that’s because there’s no market for it.
I wish Mr. Hunt lots of luck, because he’s going to need it.
On the East Coast, the AM stations are already at reduced power, even in Summer…. so there isn’t much going on. As News/Talk moves to FM, it will be interesting to see if the post 9PM Eastern programming reacts to the opportunity. Sliwa isn’t a big factor yet – Citadel is carrying him, but not many others…. and I don’t think Sliwa will “work” other than on the coasts. People in Iowa don’t much care for people from New York.
KZYM in Joplin Missouri has the show on its weekday schedule. Dave Ramsey used to be in that time slot.
