   I do not understand why, since WWII, almost every country in the world EXCEPT the actual continental United States has been considered at one point or another as a “vital American Interest”. North Africa is the historical concern of Italy, France, and possibly Britain. Let’s allow them the opportunity to solve the problems in their own back yard before we go butting in.
