“Where is Obama?”

Ah, the dashed hopes of the hopelessly naive.

New Yorker: Where is America?”

The story from the front lines – Adjdabiya is now under air attack – the planes blew up an ammuniation depot – when you’re the government, you know where the things are that need to be blown up.

This New Yorker story centers around a Libyan American who returned “home” to fight for “his country”, encouraging his son to rush to the front lines – out in the desert with no training and no cover from which to defend a position from attack by a trained army.

The father is now returning to Benghazi to mourn the death of his son.

“In peace, sons bury their fathers. In war, fathers bury their sons.”
Herodotus, 5th century BC

One Response to “Where is Obama?”

  1. ICCDude says:

Why are there never any suicide bombers when they are fighting their fellow Arabs?
And how long can the West cling to the farce of “freezing” Libyan assets when the Libyan Govt. quells the uprising and resumes ruling?
