Slavery confusion – I think someone confused Rush with Joe Biden’s remarks about how Delaware considered itself to be part of the “South” and had a rich history of Slavery. Perhaps someone forgot that Rush was talking about Biden :)

The other possibility is that a discussion of slavery by Rush’s guest host Walter WIlliams created some of the confusion. I distinctly remember one of his discussions in which Williams stated that although slavery itself was immoral, black Americans today are better off for having been brought to this country rather than remaining in Africa. Anyone listening who had the comprehension level of 80% or lower would draw the conclusion that Williams (a black man) thought slavery was a good thing.
Slavery a good thing?
Since when is the kidnapping, enslavement, rape, torture and brutalizing of a people a thing to be HAPPY about???
Sure Africa has it’s problems but if it were not for the slave trade itself as well as other forms of imperialism and exploitation, I am confident Africa as a whole would be in far better shape.
So I guess the slave traders were doing a favor for the Africans while they were raping their women and killing their men??? Skinned alive, unborn babies ripped from mother’s bellies, burned alive, blinded, crippled, used for target practice…sounds like fun???
The only people saying slavery is a good thing are the people making up things Rush didn’t say. Followers of Islam are who brought slavery to Western Africa 400 years (that’s 20 generations) before the first Europeans arrived in their trading ships. Most of the slave trade was to Cuba, Haiti and other Carribean islands. I’m sure President Obama “learned” that on his trip to Ghana to educate himself about the history of slavery.
The Euro trash was no better than the Afro trash or the Muslim trash who perpetuated and still perpetuate the situation.
To quote good ole Rush…”Get the bone out of your nose” for goodness sake.
I kind of wish Rush did get the St. Louis Rams. Losers deserve each other.
A major part of the building of America was enslavement and genocide, those are nasty facts that are undeniable.
If anyone thinks anyone should be thankful for their ancestors being raped and tortured even in the past, they need help.
One can be thankful to be here WITHOUT being thankful for how they got here, whether it was in the bottom of a stinking slave ship or on the Mayflower.
