Storming the hearing – back during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearing, then US House member Barbara Boxer stormed into the hearing demanding to be heard, having no right to be there – not being a member of the U.S. Senate.
If the Republicans had any backbone, the time for civility is over. Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell should go to the Conference Committee meeting with C-SPAN in tow, and refuse to leave the room. Is Harry Reid going to call the capital police and have then physically removed from the room? With an iPhone and uStream, it is possible to do real-time live streaming from anywhere…. have that be the real feed of what’s going on, and let them toss out the CSPAN camera thinking they’re now “safe” to talk in secret.
I think that is a great idea. And maybe while in the process could run over good old “searchlight” harry reid…..
And then see the “look of concern” across reids face as he SCOLDS the cameras for intruding into such a dignified area.
