SRN (Salem Radio) news has lurched to the left…. they did a story about anti-Islam prejudice, followed by a positive news story about cultural exchanges with Cuba.
They just recently had to refinance their long term debt. I wonder if that is related….

i noticed it recently(last 4-5 months) on their Sacramento affiliate…they suddenly have hispanics reporting live from L.A. for some reason(usually reporting things irrelevant to Sacramentans) and another part-time hispanic for local news updates that can barely speak english, lol…i think i’ve noticed their network news spinning it more to the left also…and i think its probably threats from Obama’s regulators or hispanic groups behind the scenes…
I thought I was listening to Radio Moscow… “news” about what a worker’s paradise Cuba is… This does note bode well for the “conservative” News/Talk lineup… Gallagher, Medved (who has always been very pro-illegal immigration), Hewitt and Prager….
Salem also runs 2 religious networks – one is Christian talk and Christian music, and they dabbled in Biz Talk and Country Gospel… but their more recent ventues have been into Spanish language religious programming.
One of the not widely known transformations going on is that Evangelical Christians are making big successes in winning the minds and hearts of Roman Catholic hispanics (if you accept there is such a thing). The empty pews and coffers are why The One True Church has aggressively been aiding illegal immigratants to invade the country and evade law enforcement (The Sanctuary Movement). Money is the root of all God.
(Salem is not a charity, it’s a for-profit publicly traded corporation) Salem’s roots go back to North Carolina and Virginia, which has seen a huge transformation with influx of Spanish speaking immigrants. Kill the tobacco business, and it has unintended consequences – or maybe it wasn’t unintended… Jesse Helms was the symbol of evil to Progressives….
yup, i thought Roy Masters’ son had some part in running SRN (i could be wrong on that) so i was surprised that it seemed to be moving to the left….as for Medved, i really can’t stand to listen to him anymore – he hates the homeless, he hates the mentally ill, he absolutely hates gays, and he’s totally disrespectful to former pres. Jimmy Carter every chance he gets(calls him “the worthless one”), yet he “looovvvveeesss” illegal aliens!!!
You confused two acronyms – Roy Masters’ son runs TRN (Talk Radio Network) that synidcates Savage, Ingraham, Doyle, Humphries and Hendrie.
