Lifelock has a new “twist” on their guarantee… now they say their guarantee applies *only if* your identity theft was due to some failure on the services they perform. Dave Ramsey had it completely right. Most credit cards are issued without even checking your credit report, so the issuer won’t see the fraud alert “hold” Lifelock puts on your credit reports

Gotta love Ramsey, he always comes up with an angle no one else thinks of.
I noticed that my Chevron card had the limit lowered , because I had not used it in over a yr. So I contacted the issue bank and they could not give me an answer. so I went to check my credit report, through the gov’t site. and was denied access. So I finally contacted Cheron/Texaco,. and finally talked to a customer service rep, and they increasd back to the original limit. The only reason I can think of that my accrss was denied to my credit report, was because a couple years ago I was the victim of Identity Theft and called Experian and reported it and they put a freeze on my file, possibly a 5 yr one so now ive got to call them and fix that too …
