US Government demand for Toyota documents sounds much more like it is doing the legwork for class action lawsuits than for solving the problem. Does the US Government still own any GM or Chrysler auto company stock? Is the UAW still running GM?

I would say “Yes” on both counts… I think the UAW smells blood and is striking while they can since none of the Toyota plants in the US have a UAW presence and they are getting the Obama administration do their dirty work.
To date, Toyota has had only 1 plant which was inherited from GM that had a UAW presence and they closed that plant a few years back…
